Versace plans luxury hotels

Palazzo Versace, Australia

I think it’s a good thing that Versace and fashion brands launch hotels. It could bring a new wave on the hospitality industry if it’s done with professionals. Before to want to build new hotels, some brands had already started to sell some “home trends” in their shop in a first time and with specialized shops later like Armani Casa, Zara Home…
Versace represents the Italian “savoir faire”, the luxury and every time the last trends, so, this is logic that they try to do business like their competitors. Moreover, Versace is already focused on private jets, cruises and yachts, so, they have the different knowledge in relationship around customer service. With this project, Versace will enter in the luxury brand hotel like “Bulgari jewellery” in Milan or still “Armani hotels” and “Zegna hotel”.

London hotels "most costly" for net Access

This article shows us that the Net access is really expensive in luxury hotels.
In London more than anywhere, the net access average is around 20 pounds (= 30€) when in the same time this service costs around 14 pounds (= 21€) in luxury Parisian hotels. More than in Paris, London is a luxury and expensive place where people know every thing have not a low price. We can see also that rooms prices is most expensive in London than Paris.
I worked in London last summer and all is expensive, it’s difficult to find something cheap in Central London. But contrary, in the hotel where I worked (a 5* hotel), people doesn’t count what they spend.
So, my point of vu is that if hotels provide a good service for the Internet Access, it has to charge a rate in adequacy with the hotel’s standards.

Hyatt & OpenJaw Technology

I choose this article because i think that today the big hotels companies need a good reservation service all over the world. The relations between the CRS and the company seems to be innovatives and to provide a good service for customers. More over, we can add the 17 languages which permit to book rooms from everywhere. A system which not interfere with the Hyatt’s partners is necessary today and allow to optimize reservations .

To conclude, i think the hospitality industry needs to acquire these kinds of booking systems and to use more and more the new technologies.
